Cal State LA invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean, Charter College of Education.

CCOE – The Charter College of Education (“CCOE”) is leading the way in preparing teachers, counselors and principals for linked learning pathway programs, the 21st century version of career and technical education that prepares youth for college ready and career ready outcomes. As part of its charter status, CCOE has a governance system that includes staff, students, and community members as well as faculty. All share a commitment to inclusion, social justice, and high academic standards for our own students and for the students in our surrounding urban school districts.
The Position – Cal State LA seeks an inspiring and innovative leader to serve as Dean of CCOE. The Dean serves as the chief operating and academic officer of the College and is responsible for creating and sustaining an environment in which academic excellence is pursued by faculty, students, administrators and staff. The Dean is responsible for providing dynamic leadership to CCOE’s three divisions, Applied and Advanced Studies in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, and Special Education and Counseling. To support the growth and success of the College, the Dean also seeks broad-based support from external agencies and plays a leadership role in fundraising and development.
