The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of psychiatry with a focus on psychosomatic medicine and adult psychiatry. Responsibilities include teaching of trainees including medical students and psychiatric residents and provision of psychiatric consultations to patients hospitalized on the various services of the general hospital with appropriate follow-up as indicated. Responsibilities also include emergency psychiatry; psychosomatic medicine (inpatient and outpatient); and establishment of diagnoses and provision of direct ongoing care and services to psychiatric outpatients. Applicants must have an M.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and clinical care. Board certification/Board eligibility in Psychiatry and PA medical license are required. The applicant should have completed, or be completing, a 1-year fellowship in psychosomatic medicine.
