The Department of Human Development and Family Studies, College of Human Environmental Sciences at The University of Alabama, is seeking applicants for a non tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor position with a start date of January 1, 2017. The successful candidate will assume responsibilities for teaching undergraduate courses in the Early Child Development concentration, including child development and upper level preschool curriculum design/implementation courses. In addition, this person will coordinate internships for all undergraduate majors in the department, including executing internship site contracts, orienting internship supervisors, completing contracts with students, reviewing semester portfolios and assigning final grades. Advising and mentoring undergraduates are expected as is serving on departmental, college and university committees.
