An NIH-funded IRACDA Program
The MERIT Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking individuals who are interested in outstanding research and teaching experiences during their Postdoctoral training. It will provide research experiences at UAB and teaching experiences at partner institutions, including Oakwood University and Stillman College, located near UAB.
MERIT Scholars are supported for four years at NRSA rates and are provided with competitive benefits and an allowance for travel and supplies as outlined on our website.
Eligible applicants to the MERIT Program must be Ph.D. candidates or recent Ph.D. recipients and US citizens or permanent residents; individuals with comparable degrees are also eligible. Women and persons from diverse backgrounds, including underrepresented racial and ethnic groups, individuals with disabilities and individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
