Pitzer College — Tenure-Track Assistant Professor, Sociology

Pitzer College, a member of the Claremont Colleges, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Sociology with teaching responsibilities to include Quantitative Research Methods, Qualitative Research Methods, and Sociology of Race and Ethnicity. Additional preferred areas of expertise would also include: family, immigration, and/or crime. We particularly invite scholars who are interested in issues pertaining to communities of color, and can cross-list courses with Africana Studies.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a potential for excellence in teaching and research as well as experience and/or interest in community-based civic engagement and participatory research.
