Immaculata University — President

The Board of Trustees and Immaculata University community invite applications and nominations for the position of President. A private, Catholic, comprehensive, coeducational institution of higher education, Immaculata was founded in 1920 by the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM). Located just west of Philadelphia in Malvern, PA, the University sits on 375 rolling acres overlooking historic Chester County.

Immaculata University (IU) offers more than 60 majors, minors, and pre-professional certifications, including accelerated and online career-oriented programs. IU enrolls approximately 3,000 students, one-third of whom are traditional undergraduates, one-third adult undergraduates, and one-third graduate students. With small class sizes and a dedicated and accomplished faculty, the University community is dedicated to excellence in teaching and learning.

The University environment is characterized by a spirit of hospitality and friendliness. Its programs, rooted in academic rigor, ethical integrity and Christian core values, encourage a commitment to critical thinking, lifelong learning, and professional preparation. With a deep commitment to the IHM charism and an appreciation of the dynamic and challenging nature of the higher education landscape, Immaculata is committed to preparing for its continued long-term stability and success.

The President is Immaculata University’s chief executive officer and reports directly to the Board of Trustees. Building on the established legacy for faith, innovation and sustainability, IU’s tenth President will be responsible for developing a vision and establishing a solid infrastructure to ensure IU’s continued success. The selected candidate will be: a practicing Catholic; a strategic thinker and change agent with a record of administrative success; a data-driven decision-maker and thoughtful risk-taker; an aspirational, inspirational and optimistic spokesperson; a strong team leader who encourages dialogue, collaboration, transparency and engagement with the IU community; a servant leader; and a passionate communicator who is comfortable working externally with a wide variety of constituents.

The review of applications will begin immediately. To ensure full consideration, materials are due by September 23, 2016. Prior to submitting application materials, please review the profile
