The Assistant Director of Diversity and Inclusion is a full-time, 10-month position. The Assistant Director will assist the Director in providing support to traditionally underrepresented students through diverse programming and services. The Assistant Director will help provide involvement opportunities and cultural awareness activities for the campus community and aid in the promotion of a safe, supportive, and inclusive campus that celebrates and respects diversity. The Assistant Director will work directly with students and student organizations as they explore their identities related to race, ethnicity, gender identity, gender expression, sexuality, religion, and other aspects of their personhood. The Assistant Director will assist with the orientation, retention, leadership development, advising, and support for students of color and other marginalized groups as well as collaborate with academics, admission, athletics, development and alumni services, and other student support offices to create strong cultural competencies for all members of the campus community.
