Cal State LA invites applications and nominations for the position of Vice Provost for Diversity and Engaged Learning and the University’s Chief Diversity Officer for Academic and Student Life.

The Vice Provost for Diversity and Engaged Learning and the University’s Chief Diversity Officer for Academic and Student Life serves as the senior academic affairs administrator overseeing the development and implementation of the Academic Affairs strategic plan for diversity and inclusion as well as efforts to strengthen student learning and engagement. Some responsibilities of the position include: the development and implementation of training programs for cultural competency and unconscious bias awareness; collaboration with campus leadership, faculty, and students to advance the University’s diversity and inclusion goals; oversight of pipeline and recruitment initiatives for faculty recruitment; and oversight of faculty development and student learning initiatives, including supervision of the Center for Effective Teaching and Learning.
