Three African Americans Appointed to New Administrative Posts in Higher Education

j-greenJanel Marts Green is the new vice president for business and finance at Dillard University in New Orleans. She has been serving in the post on an interim basis since June 1, 2015. Green has been on the staff at the university since 2011.

Green is a graduate of the University of New Orleans, where she majored in finance.

Alonda WilliamsAlonda Williams was appointed director of marketing, community relations, and enrollment management at Bellevue College in Washington State. She was senior director of education marketing at Microsoft Inc. Williams is a former adjunct professor of marketing at Rutgers University in New Jersey.

Williams is a graduate of Montclair State University in New Jersey and earned an MBA at Rutgers University.

McDonald-Kevin1-jpgKevin McDonald was named the chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer for the University of Missouri System, effective June 1. He has been serving as vice president and associate provost for diversity and inclusion at the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York. Earlier, Dr. McDonald was vice president for equity and inclusion at Virginia Tech.

Dr. McDonald is a graduate of Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, and the College of Law at Ohio State University. He also earned a doctorate in higher education leadership from the University of Rochester.
