Texas HBCU Signs Agreement With the National Institute of Technology of Mexico

PVAMU-LogoHistorically Black Prairie View A&M University in Texas has entered into an agreement with the National Institute of Technology of Mexico, which is headquartered in Mexico City and operates 263 campuses throughout the country.

Under the agreement, students at any campus of the National Institute of Technology of Mexico will be eligible for study abroad opportunities at Prairie View A&M University. Up to 50 students will be awarded Mexico Citizens With Financial Need – Border Nations Waivers for study at Prairie View.

WrightGeorge C. Wright, president of Prairie View A&M University, stated that his university “is committed to helping all students reach their full potential. This partnership is one step in ensuring that we continue to serve diverse populations by providing an excellent education and a one-of-a-kind Prairie View A&M University experience.”

According to the latest data from the U.S. Department of Education, only 3 percent of the undergraduate students at Prairie View A&M are Hispanic.
