Two Black Men Appointed to New Administrative Posts in Higher Education

AgwunobiAndrew Agwunobi was appointed executive vice president for health affairs at the University of Connecticut and chief executive officer of UConn Health. He has been serving in these roles on an interim basis since November 2014.

Dr. Agwunobi is a pediatrician and earned his medical degree at Howard University in Washington, D.C. He also holds an MBA from Stanford University.

Marvin Green2Marvin E. Green Jr. was promoted to associate athletics director for sports administration at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee. Green is coach of the men’s golf team and has served as director of student activities and associate director of campus recreation. He has been on the staff at the university for nearly 23 years.

Green holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in sports and leisure management from Florida A&M University.
