Monica Monroe Named Dean of Students at the University of Pennsylvania Law School

monroeThe University of Pennsylvania Law School has announced the appointment of Monica E. Monroe as its new dean of students. She will begin her new job at the law school on February 1.

Monroe has been serving as a lecturer in law and as associate dean of students at the George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. She has taught at the law school since 2004.

Monroe is a graduate of Boston University and the George Washington University Law School. After earning her law degree, she clerked at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces and at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. She then spent six years in private practice.
