In Memoriam: Suzan Maria Armstrong-West, 1948-2015

armstrong westSuzan Armstrong-West, a professor of psychology at Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, Florida, died earlier this month. She was 66 years old.

Professor Armstrong-West had served on the faculty at Edward Waters College since 2008. Earlier, she was assistant dean of students at the University of Texas at Austin and dean of academic programs at Rutgers University.

Dr. Armstrong-West was a graduate of Howard University in Washington, D.C., where she doubled majored in psychology and biology. She held a master degree in counseling psychology from the University of North Florida and a Ph.D. in counselor education from the University of Florida.
