Two African American Men Named to University Administrative Posts

max_allenMax Allen was named chief of staff for the president of Clemson University in South Carolina. His appointment is effective on June 1. Since 2003, he has been serving as chief of staff at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. From 1994 to 2003, he was chief of staff and director of university communications at Georgia College and State University.

A Navy veteran, Allen is a graduate of Jacksonville University.

Tony MooreTony Moore was appointed vice president for technology administration at Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans. He was vice president for information and technology management for the Southern University System in Baton Rouge. Earlier, he was the chief information officer for Baton Rouge Community College.

Moore holds a bachelor’s degree from Southern University and a master’s degree in computer science from Louisiana State University.
