W. Terrell Jones Receives Posthumous Award

W. Terrell JonesW. Terrell Jones, vice provost for educational equity at Pennsylvania State University, died on August 19 at the age of 64. He has been posthumously given the Distinguished Service Award from the Commission on Access, Diversity, and Excellence of the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities.

A native of Harrisburg, Dr. Jones was a graduate of Loch Haven University, where he majored in sociology and played football. He held a master’s degree and a doctorate in counselor education and student personnel services from Penn State.

  1. It’s an honor to know as a member of Pennsylvania Black Conference On Higher Education, I served with a GIANT of Higher Education. Indeed a well deserved award to one of the best Penn State had.
