Two African Americans in New Faculty Posts

Andre LewisAndre L. Lewis was appointed assistant professor of social work at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. He is a former assistant professor of social work at Mississippi State University.

Lewis is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and holds a master of social work degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. He is currently completing his Ph.D. at the University of Louisiana at Monroe with research focusing on fatherhood in the African American community.

pittmanCassi Pittman is a new assistant professor of sociology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. She recently completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at Ohio State University.

Dr. Pittman is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. She holds a Ph.D. in sociology from Harvard University.
