A New Dean at Alcorn State University in Mississippi

lylesIvory W. Lyles is the new dean of the School of Agriculture, Research, Extension, and Applied Sciences at Alcorn State University in Mississippi. He was associate vice president for agriculture and director of extension at the University of Arkansas.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Lyles held extension officer posts at Mississippi State University, the University of Tennessee, and Tennessee State University. He served as a professor of agricultural and extension education at Ohio State University.

Dr. Lyles is a graduate of Alcorn State University, where he majored in agricultural economics. He holds a master’s degree from Mississippi State University and a doctorate in agriculture education from Ohio State University.
