Ohio University President Gets Hefty Raise and $85,000 Bonus

Roderick-McDavis-thumbRoderick J. McDavis, president of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, received an $85,000 bonus from the university’s board of trustees and an 8 percent salary increase. He now makes $465,000 a year.

A statement released by the university said that “the Ohio University Board of Trustees unanimously agreed that President McDavis’ performance for 2013-14 was very strong. Among the many areas of progress are the Ohio Guarantee model development; the attainment of Ohio’s $450 million charitable-campaign goal 14 months early; the administration of the largest capital-improvement plan in Ohio University’s history; and the attainment of record enrollment numbers for the incoming freshman class of 2014-15 and overall.”

Dr. McDavis has been president of Ohio University since 2004. He is a graduate of Ohio University and holds a master’s degree from the University of Dayton and a doctorate in counselor education and higher education administration from the University of Toledo.
