University of Rwanda to Offer Its First Doctoral Programs

URwandaThe University of Rwanda in Africa has announced that it will offer eight new doctoral programs beginning in the coming academic year. The programs will be the first doctorates in the university’s history. The new programs will be offered in arts and humanities, sciences, and business and economics.

Only 19 percent of the current staff at the university currently holds a Ph.D. But 80 more staff members are expected to complete their doctorate over the next several years.

Eleven new master’s degree programs will also be offered.

Three Black Leaders Appointed to Diversity Positions at Colleges and Universities
