Tilahun Adera Named Provost at Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri

Tilahun AderaTilahun Adera was named provost and vice president for academic affairs at Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri. He was the dean of the College of Health and Social Sciences at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. Dr. Adera had been at New Mexico State since 2009. Previously, he was senior associate dean for public health and professor of epidemiology at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.

A native of Ethiopia, Dr. Adera earned a doctorate in public health from Oregon State University.
