Evelyn Ellis to Lead Two Campuses of Western Kentucky University

Evelyn Ellis was appointed the regional chancellor for the Elizabethtown and Fort Knox campuses of Western Kentucky University. Since 2012, she has been serving as chief of staff and education operations manager for the U.S. Department of Defense Dependents’ School in Seoul, South Korea. Previously, Dr. Ellis was associate dean for academic support services at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut. She will begin her duties at Western Kentucky University on July 28.

Dr. Ellis is the former dean of the University College at Alabama A&M University. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Texas at El Paso. Dr. Ellis earned a second master’s degree at Drury University in Springfield, Missouri, and an educational doctorate from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
