Erica Holmes Named Provost at Pima Community College in Tucson

dr-erica-c-holmesErica C. Holmes was appointed provost and executive vice chancellor for academic and student services at Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona. She was vice president of academic and student affairs at Kennedy-King College of the City Colleges of Chicago system. From 2009-13, Dr. Holmes was vice president of academic affairs at Halifax Community College in Weldon, North Carolina.

Dr. Holmes is a graduate of St. Paul’s College in Lawrenceville, Virginia. She holds a master’s degree from Central Michigan University and an educational doctorate from the Argosy University in Sarasota, Florida.

  1. Congrats! I finally have a face I can identify with in a place that seems to be opening their eyes to diversity at top levels at the college. As an African American male, her announcement made my day. Tokenism is an awful concept, but I’m wishing Erica Holmes the best as she learns her way around.
