The New Provost at Vanguard University in California

Doretha O’Quinn was named provost at Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, California. The Christian university enrolls about 2,300 students in undergraduate and graduate programs. Women make up two thirds of the student body. African Americans are 5 percent of all students.

Dr. O’Quinn has been serving as vice provost of multi-ethnic and cross cultural enrollment at Biola University in La Mirada, California. Earlier, she was associate dean of the School of Education at Point Loma Nazarene University.

Dr. O’Quinn is a graduate of Life Pacific College in San Dimas, California. She holds master’s and doctoral degrees from Biola University.
