Morgan State University Establishes a New Scholarship Program for Transfer Students

MorganMorgan State University in Baltimore has established a new scholarship program in an effort to attract more transfer students from community colleges. The Transfer Incentive Program (TIP) will offer scholarships of up to $10,000 for students who have successfully completed an associate’s degree program.

Under the TIP program, students will receive up to $2,000 for up to five semesters in order to complete their bachelor’s degree. Students must complete 15 credits per semester and maintain a 2.5 grade point average in order to receive funds for the next semester. The program is open to students from any state.

Only students enrolling in certain academic majors are eligible for the TIP scholarship awards. Among the participating majors are actuarial science, chemistry, construction management, economics, English, history, finance, mathematics, philosophy, theater, physics, and engineering physics.
