Leroy Bynum Jr. Named Dean of the School of Arts & Humanities at The College of Saint Rose

leroy_bynumLeroy Bynum Jr. was appointed dean of the School of Arts and Humanities at The College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York. He will take office on July 14. African Americans make up 6 percent of the undergraduate students at the college.

Since 2006, Dr. Bynum has served as dean of the College of Arts and Humanities at Albany State University in Georgia. He has been on the faculty at the university since 1992 and is the former chair of the department of fine arts.

Dr. Bynum earned a master’s degree at the University of South Florida in Tampa and holds a doctoral degree in music/vocal performance from the University of Georgia.
