Florida A&M University to Offer New Master’s Degree Program

The College of Education at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee has received approval to offer a new master’s degree program in curriculum and instruction.

Patricia-Green-Powell-thumbPatricia Green-Powell, interim dean of the College of Education, stated, “This is an exciting time for the College of Education to address the needs of our school districts, as well as our student population. This is a result of area [K-12] superintendents and their school districts expressing to us their need to have highly-trained teachers in the area of curriculum and instruction.”

The university has six faculty members who have credentials to teach in this discipline. It is expected that 20 students will enroll in the new master’s degree within the first year.
