African American Named President of the International College of the Cayman Islands

marshallThe board of trustees of the International College of the Cayman Islands has announced the appointment of David Marshall as president. Since 2012, Dr. Marshall has been vice president for academic affairs at Olive-Harvey College, a campus of the City Colleges of Chicago system.

“I am so thrilled to join the International College of the Cayman Islands, under the leadership of this outstanding board as we partner to fulfill the mission of this great College,” said Marshall. “I am deeply honored to be entrusted with the legacy of this historic institution and to have the opportunity to work collegially with this very accomplished group of students, faculty, staff, and alumni.”

Dr. Marshall is a native of Baltimore, Maryland. He is a graduate of Morgan State University in Baltimore, where he majored in religious studies. Dr. Marshalls holds a master’s degree in journalism and a Ph.D. in mass media and communication from Temple University in Philadelphia.
