J. Preston Jones Named Dean of Business School at Nova Southeastern University

Dr.-Preston-Jones-thumbJ. Preston Jones has been chosen as dean of the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He has served as interim dean since 2012 and has been a member of the faculty for more than 20 years. He has served as executive associate dean, associate dean for faculty affairs, director of the MBA program, director of the Center for Entrepreneurship, and as a faculty member in management.

Before joining the staff at Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Jones worked for 15 years as an engineer and manager for Johnson & Johnson. Dr. Jones is a graduate of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, where he majored in electrical engineering. He holds an MBA and a doctorate in business administration from Nova Southeastern University.

  1. Congratulations on your new appointment! I am a 2003 doctoral alumnae of NSU and I couldn’t have asked for a better educational experience. NSU was sensitive and supportive of not only blacks but other minorities in the Fischler School of Education.

Dr. Hightower was a professor of marketing at his alma mater, historically Black Florida A&M University, where he taught for over two decades. He also served the university as the Centennial Eminent Scholar Chair and Professor of Marketing and Facility Management.
