David McKenzie Will Lead the New Veterinary Hospital at Tuskegee University

Dr.-David-McKenzie_webDavid McKenzie was appointed director of the Tuskegee University Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital in Alabama. He is an associate professor of large animal medicine and surgery at the university’s veterinary school.

The university is constructing the new Tuskegee University Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, which will replace existing facilities. The new $41 million, 150,000-square-foot complex is expected to be completed by the end of next year.

Dr. McKenzie, a native of Jamaica, earned a master’s degree and a doctorate in veterinary medicine at Tuskegee University. He also holds a master of public health degree and a doctorate in health education from the University of Alabama Birmingham.
