Glenn Vaulx Chosen as Interim President of Lane College

VaulxGlenn M. Vaulx Sr. has been named interim president of Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee. President Vaulx has a long history with Lane College and the Jackson community. He served for 28 years as the treasurer of the Lane College National Alumni Association.

Vaulx is a native of Haywood County, Tennessee. He is a 1966 graduate of Lane College with a bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, and physics. He was first trumpet in the Lane College band. Vaulx later earned a master’s degree at the University of Memphis.

Vaulx is a former teacher and administrator for the Jackson City School System. He also served for 10 years as head of the county’s Head Start program. He retired from the school system as assistant superintendent in 2006.
