New Online Archive of the Papers of Klan Infiltrator Stetson Kennedy

512QQMZPEBL._BO2,204,203,200_PIsitb-sticker-arrow-click,TopRight,35,-76_AA300_SH20_OU01_Georgia State University has announced that it has created an online archive of the papers of Stetson Kennedy. During the 1940s, Kennedy infiltrated the Ku Klux Klan in Georgia and exposed their rituals and beliefs in the 1954 book I Rode With the Ku Klux Klan. Stetson also authored The Klan Unmasked and Jim Crow Guide to the U.S.A.: The Laws, Customs and Etiquette Governing the Conduct of Nonwhites and Other Minorities as Second-Class Citizens.

The digitized collection includes Kennedy’s correspondence, manuscripts, files, fliers, pamphlets, and photographs. The online collection may be viewed here.
