Three African American Men in New Administrative Roles in Higher Education

James G. Lunnermon IIJames G. Lunnermon II was promoted to director of alumni affairs at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in Princess Anne. For the past six years, he was director of campus life in the university’s Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. He is the former director of student activities at Delaware State University in Dover.

Lunnermon is a 1996 graduate of the hotel and restaurant management program at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

StudeventPerry James Studevent Jr. was named assistant director of student services and financial aid for the department of allied health sciences at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. He was the academic services manager for undergraduate programs at the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the university.

Studevent is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he majored in media studies. He holds a master’s degree in science technology systems from East Carolina University.

Walter W. Woods_2013Walter W. Woods was appointed coordinator for outreach and strategic initiatives at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. For the past seven years he was the assistant director of alumni affairs at the university.

Woods is a 1991 graduate of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. He holds a master’s degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix and is working toward a doctorate in organizational leadership from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
