Two African American Scholars Named to Endowed Chairs

AllysonWatsonAllyson L. Watson was named to the Eddings Endowed Chair for Urban Education, Outreach, and Research at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

Dr. Watson is a graduate of Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida. She holds a master’s degree and a doctorate in educational leadership and policy studies from the University of Oklahoma.

RickJoe M. Ricks Jr. was promoted to the J.P. Morgan Chase Professor of Sales and Marketing at Xavier University in New Orleans. A member of the faculty for the past 17 years, Dr. Ricks is also chair of the university’s Division of Business.

Professor Ricks earned a Ph.D. in business from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.

Quenon Endowed Chair, and vice provost for graduate education at Missouri University of Science and Technology.
