Three African American Women Named to Diversity Posts

crystal_reedCrystal Ann Williams was named associate vice president and chief diversity officer at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. She has been serving as dean of institutional diversity and as a tenured faculty member in creative writing at Reed College in Portland, Oregon.

Professor Williams is a graduate of New York University and holds a master of fine arts degree from Cornell University.

MalloryMia_1.sflbMia Mallory was appointed associate dean for diversity and inclusion and associate professor of pediatrics at the College of Medicine of the University of Cincinnati. For the past two years she was an emergency physician for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Dr. Mallory is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

Kim-LeDuffKim LeDuff was appointed associate vice provost for equity, diversity, and international affairs and chief diversity officer at the University of West Florida. She has been serving as the acting director of the School of Mass Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern Mississippi.

Dr. LeDuff is a graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana. She holds a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Maryland and a Ph.D. in mass communication from Indiana University.
