Delaware State University to Close One Campus But Open Another

delaware-state-logoHistorically Black Delaware State University has announced that it is closing its branch campus in downtown Wilmington this summer. The university will move its Wilmington operations to a former U.S. Army Reserve building in Milltown outside the city.  The building was given to the university for free but Delaware State has allocated $2 million for renovations.

The university estimates that it will be able to generate $7 million in additional  revenues over the next 10 years at the new location. In addition the university will achieve cost saving by moving from the downtown location.
