In Memoriam: Margaret Ann Wheatley, 1945-2013

wheatleyMargaret A. Wheatley, an assistant professor at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, died late last month. She was 67 years old.

Dr. Wheatley had a 30-year career as a mental health/psychiatric nurse. She joined the faculty at Case Western Reserve in 2002. She studied risk factors for depression and quality of life issues for the elderly. From 1993 to 1997, Wheatley served as president of the Ohio Nurses Association.

Dr. Wheatley held bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Cincinnati. She earned a doctoral degree at Case Western Reserve University.
