Howard University Boosts Financial Aid for Students in Need

howard_university_logo965x965The Howard University Student Association and the administration of the university have added $600,000 to need-based financial aid programs for the current year. About 400 students, including some graduating seniors, will receive funds under the program. The students association has identified those in need and will pay two-thirds of their remaining balances with grants. The students will still be required to pay the remaining one third of the balance of their account.

The money from the Howard University Student Association, comes from the Independence Fund. All Howard University graduate and undergraduate students pay a fee into this funds which helps their fellow students in financial need.
