The New Dean of Arts and Sciences at Fort Valley State University

fvsu_victorbrownVictor M.D. Brown has been chosen as the next dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Fort Valley State University in Georgia. His appointment is effective on April 15. He has been serving as dean of the Division of Science, Mathematics, and Technology at Burlington County College in Pemberton, New Jersey. Previously, he was a research professor and director of the AgriTREK program at Tuskegee University in Alabama.

Dr. Brown is a native of Jamaica. He holds an MBA from Emory University in Atlanta and a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of the West Indies. He has also studied at Wye College of the University of London and did postdoctoral research at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.
