New Scholarship for Minority Students Pursuing Degree Programs in Labor Studies at CUNY

cunyThe Joseph S. Murphy Institute for Worker Education and Labor Studies at the City University of New York has announced a new scholarship program for underrepresented minority students pursuing degree programs in labor studies. Students who are selected to receive the scholarships will receive up to $20,000 for the last two years of undergraduate study or $30,000 for two years of graduate study.

Gregory Mantsios, director of the Murphy Institute, stated, “We are deeply committed to preparing a new generation of union leaders, worker advocates, and labor scholars, one that more accurately reflects the composition of the U.S. labor force.”
