Three African American Women in New Administrative Roles in Higher Education

CEP Program Leaders White and LawtonJacquelyn White was named director of the family and consumer sciences division of the Cooperative Extension Program at Prairie View A&M University. She has been with the program since 1999.

White holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas. She is completing work on her doctoral degree in educational leadership from the University of Phoenix.

juliana mosleyJuliana Mosley was named vice president for student affairs at Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, Florida. She was vice president for student affairs and enrollment management at Marygrove College in Detroit, Michigan. She is the former vice president for student affairs at Philander Smith College in Little Rock, Arkansas, and also served as executive assistant to the president of Kentucky State University.

Dr. Mosley is a graduate of Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. She holds a master’s degree and a doctorate in educational leadership from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

dickens_emily_12_013_mEmily Dickens was named assistant vice president for federal relations for the University of North Carolina system. She is the former director of government and community affairs at Fayetteville State University.

Dickens holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in history from North Carolina Central University. She is also a graduate of the North Carolina Central University School of Law.
