Retired Army General, Ronald Johnson, Joins the Georgia Tech Faculty

Johnson_RonaldRonald L. Johnson is a new professor of practice in the Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He will also serve as managing director of the Tennenbaum Institute at the university. The institute is a collaborative effort between academic, government, and corporate experts to create large-scale business models for enterprise transformation.

Professor Johnson is a retired two-star general of the United States Army. From 2008 to 2012, he was senior vice president of referee operations for the National Basketball Association. He had a 32-year career in the Army rising to the post of deputy chief of engineers for the Army Corps of Engineers.

Professor Johnson is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He holds a master’s degree in operations research from Georgia Tech.
