Oakwood University Establishes a Leadership Academy

Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama, has announced that it has established a Leadership Academy on campus. The academy is now aimed a middle-level employees of the university in an effort to prepare them for leadership roles.

But university president Leslie N. Pollard hopes that the academy’s programs will be made available to members of the community.

President Pollard is a graduate of Oakwood University. He holds a master of divinity degree from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University and an MBA in organizational management from the La Sierra University School of Business. Dr. Pollard earned a doctorate in ministry from Claremont School of Theology and a Ph.D. degree in New Testament language and literature from Andrews University.
