In Memoriam: Lindsey Wetherspoon, 1924-2012

Lindsey Weatherspoon, who taught for nearly 60 years in the College of Agriculture and Human Sciences at Prairie View A&M University in Texas, died late last month. He was 88 years old.

Weatherspoon was a native of Cairo, Georgia, and earned his bachelor’s degree at Savannah State University. He earned a master’s degree in animal science at Kansas State University, where he also studied veterinary medicine. He joined the faculty at Prairie View A&M University in September 1953.
