The Milwaukee Scholarship Program Is Sending 10 Black Men to Morehouse College

The state of Wisconsin along with several foundations and concerned citizens is sponsoring a new scholarship program that will send 10 Black men to Morehouse College in Atlanta this fall. All 10 Black male students from Milwaukee public high schools will receive full, four-year scholarships to attend Morehouse College.

“Milwaukee has demonstrated its commitment to preparing boys of color for higher educational opportunities – and for providing access to institutions that will expand their horizons academically, socially and culturally,” said Morehouse College President Robert M. Franklin. “This partnership allows Morehouse to fulfill that goal through a rigorous academic curriculum, coupled with co-curricular experiences that shape students for a successful career and a lifetime of leadership and service.”
