The New President of Florida Keys Community College

Jonathan Gueverra was named the sixth president of Florida Keys Community College in Key West. He will assume his new duties on July 1. He has been serving as the CEO of the Community College of the District of Columbia. Previously, Dr. Gueverra was provost at the Alexandria campus of Northern Virginia Community College.

A native of Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. Gueverra is a graduate of the two-year Newbury College and holds a bachelor’s degree from Providence College. He earned an MBA and an educational doctorate at the University of Massachusetts.
