Pamela Anthony Named Dean of Students at Iowa State University

Pamela Anthony was appointed dean of students at Iowa State University in Ames. Her appointment is effective on August 1. Since 2003, she has been assistant dean of students at Georgia State University. Previously, she was the director of student activities at Spelman College in Atlanta and coordinator of multicultural affairs at the University of Alaska at Fairbanks.

Dr. Anthony is a graduate of James Madison University in Virginia. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Georgia and a Ph.D. from Georgia State University.

Since he became president in 2012, the college has experienced record-breaking enrollment and graduation rates, created new academic programs, and established the STEM Center for Academic Excellence.
