A Trio of Black Scholars Receive New Appointments

Fidelia Nnadi was appointed director of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion in the College of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Central Florida. She has been serving as an associate professor of civil, environmental, and construction engineering at the university.

A graduate of the University of Nigeria, Dr. Nnadi earned a Ph.D. in water resources engineering at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario.

Tina Marshall-Bradley, associate vice president of academic affairs at Paine College in Augusta, Georgia, was appointed to the Commission on Standards and Performance Reporting of the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation.

Dr. Marshall-Bradley is the former dean of the School of Education at Claflin University and came to Paine College in January 2008. She is a graduate of the College of Charleston and holds a doctorate in education from Iowa State University.

Reginald DesRoches, Dean’s Professor and associate chair of the department of civil and environmental engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, was awarded an endowed chair at the university’s College of Engineering. Beginning May 15, he will hold the Karen and John Huff Chair.

Dr. DesRoches earned bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. degrees at the University of California at Berkeley.
