William Broussard was named director of athletics at Southern University in Baton Rouge. Since last summer he has been director of athletics at Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana. Previously, he was associate athletics director at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
Dr. Broussard is a graduate of Northwestern State University. He holds a master’s degree and a doctorate in rhetoric, composition, and the teaching of the English language from the University of Arizona.
Shanda Lewis Cargile was named equal employment opportunity and affirmative action officer at Jackson State University in Mississippi. She has 14 years of experience as an attorney specializing in commercial litigation, personal injury, and family law.
Cargile is a graduate of Dillard University in New Orleans and the University of Mississippi School of Law.
