Tuskegee University Flight School Receives $6.7 Million in Federal Funding
With a $6.7 million investment from the federal government, Tuskegee University will launch a new bachelor's degree in aviation science. The program will teach students about aviation science and technology and provide them with flight school training.

Samuel Frimpong Honored for Outstanding Contributions to Mineral Industry Education
Dr. Frimpong was honored by the Society of Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration with the 2024 Mineral Industry Education Award. He currently serves as a professor of mineral engineering, the Robert H. Quenon Endowed Chair, and vice provost for graduate education at Missouri University of Science and Technology.
I just wanted to know how books were recommended for this list. In particular, Emerald Press has a diversity in higher education series, a number of volumes have focused on African Americans.
We welcome recommendations. We tend to list books that have been recently released or are about to be published. But if we overlooked some important volumes, particularly if they relate to higher education, we would be glad to list them.
Thank you for mentioning the book that I co-wrote, Race and Justice: Wrongful Convictions of African American Men. It is a comprehensive look at the problem of wrongful convictions, featuring over 300 cases. I hope that your readers will find this book worthwhile.
