Obama Campaign Seeks College Student Volunteers on HBCU Campuses

The 2008 election saw a surge in voting by young Americans, particularly young African Americans. The Obama administration is trying to rekindle that enthusiasm for the President’s reelection campaign.

In the coming months, Obama campaign staffers are planning to visit the campuses of 28 historically Black colleges and universities where they will hold roundtable discussions with students and faculty in an effort to recruit volunteers and organize efforts to turn out the vote.
